Ewyas Lacy was the name given by the Norman conquerors to an area of the Welsh border country which today comprises the Herefordshire parishes of Craswall, Cusop, Llancillo, Llanveynoe, Longtown [with Clodock], Michaelchurch Escley, Newton, Rowlestone, St Margarets, and Walterstone.
