Michaelmas 1739
Mannors of Urishay alias Hay Urry, Clothie Hopkin and Trenant alias Trellishope.
At the court of our sovereign lord the king and court baron of John delahay esq. lord of th said mannors kept at the dwelling house of Thomas Jones of the parish of Michaelchurch Esckly the 23rd day of October in the thirteenth year of the reign of our sovereign lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith etc. and in the year of our lord God 1738. before Thomas Williams gentleman steward.

We the jurors aforesaid impannelled to enquire on behalf of our sovereign lord & king and the lord of the said mannors Do upon our several oaths present.
That John Watkins gentleman who owed suit and service to this court died since the last court possessed of several messuages or tenements and lands within this mannor part whereof is held by lease and o[f] the lord of this mannor for a term of 500 years and other part thereof freehold. But what heriot or other benefit happens to the said lord we know not, but refer our selves to the deeds & former court rolls.
We present that an incroachment has been lately made by some of the tenants to Henry Jenkins land of part of the common of Urishay at a place called Hewl Moch Deon and inclosed into a parcel of land of the said Henry Jenkins now in the occupation of Peter Powell called Cae Monneth containing in length about 60 yards and in breadth 5 or six yards with several trees growing in the said incroachment which now growing on the said common [ ] we [?lay] the said Peter Powell and or a penalty of xxxxs that to [?his] the same open before Lady day next and that Mr John Price and James Smith do certify under like penalty.
