Will dated 9 February 1780 :
Beneficiaries: To
Elizabeth , daughter, all the goods listed in a schedule dated the same day as the will [this schedule now missing] to be delivered to her on her 21 st birthday. Also £100 in 2 instalments, £50 pounds to be paid when she attains 21 and a further £50 one year later. The second instalment to be paid by son, Nicholas to be paid out of the 'estate wherein I now dwell'
To son, Nicholas, 'my 4
th
bed, bedstead and appurtenances, a little coffer, a [?] for cleaning wheat, my long table and my gun' to be delivered to him when he attains the age of 21.
To son, James, 'my 3
rd
bed, bedstead and appurtenances one coffer and one box' to be delivered to him when he attains the age of 21; also the sum of £10 plus any interest when he reaches 21.
All the rest of stock and household goods to John Scudamore esq., the elder, of Kenchurch and James Gilbert of Llancillo to be sold to pay legacies,expenses and debts
