Description:

In the afternoon and evening of Monday April 7^th 1947 Newton School in association with Lower Maescoed Church held an Eisteddfod. The event consisted of piano solos, recitations, songs and choral pieces by the pupils, with some categories also open to all comers. Prizes were awarded in the various categories by independent adjudicators and are listed. The programme includes the titles of the songs and recitations, the text of some of the recitations and the names of those presiding and adjudicating.
