Description:
The census shows Thomas Realey, Shopkeeper & Miller, aged 41, as resident in Michaelchurch Escley. He was born at Caldy (?) in Cheshire, and married to Mary, aged 33 from Greasby (?) in Cheshire. Son William J. Realey aged 8, daughters Elisabeth A. Realey aged 6, Clara E. Realey aged 4, and Anny M.Realey aged 6months are also living at “The Mill” (presumably the Mill House, since at this time the corn mill itself was purely a workplace), together with Sarah George (servant, aged 15), Emline (?) Harris (boarder, aged 28).
Evan Evans aged 24, is also shown resident in Michaelchurch as a Miller.
