Beneficiaries: To daughter Mary £100.
To son Willam £100 to be paid when he is 25, together with £2 p.a. for his maintenance and schooling. He is to be apprenticed to a trade.
To his daughter Ann £100 at 21 years, and until then, £10 p.a, for her maintenance.
To Martha, his wife, £15 p.a., or if she re-marries, £5 p.a. only.
If his son John 'shall be Balloted in the Militia that my Executors shall free him from the same out of the monies arising from my Estate'. He gives his son John all his estate in Llanveynoe when he reaches the age of thirty.
His brother-in-law, John Roberts, and Martha, his wife, to be joint executors.

Observations:
Number of documents 5. Note the anxiety of the testator that his son should not be forced to serve in the Army during the Napoleonic War. It is also interesting to note the parish seems to have been required to provide manpower for the militia by ballot.
