Will dated 17 February 1599/1600, [given as Queen Elizabeth 42] with:

Benficiaries: To the Cathedral church of St David's, 6d
To the 'ammending and repayreing of the parish church of Llancillo, 3/4d
To John Thomas Powell Hawkyn, son, 'all my messuage lands tenements ….situate lying and being within the parish of Kenchurch..' If he dies without heirs then the property to pass to son Howell Thomas Powell Hawkyn
To Howell Thomas Powell Hawkyn, son, 'all my messuage and lands… situate lying… in the parish of Walterstone'. If no heirs then property to go to son, John.
As lender of the sum of £30 against the lands of Griffith Harry John in the parish of Clodock, Thomas Powell Hawkyn leaves the £30, or in case of failure to repay the loan, the lands, to son, Howell, ' to hold of the Chief lord of that fee by rent and service thereof due and accustomed'.
to son, William Thomas Powell Hawkyn, 'all my messuage and lands…. situate and lying in the parish of Llancillo.
To Howell, £10 'which I have in the hands of the wife of John Phe Gleynwith the increase thereof'. Also £5 13 4d in the hands of Thomas Hugh Baylye.
To Jone [?] John one cow which 'remayneth with her already.
To Alst, daughter, one cow which is with Harry Powell her husband.
To Katherine, daughter £6 13 4d, one cow and one bed with appurtenances, 2 pr hurden sheets and one cow.
To Howell,son, 4 Oxen, my best pan and pot my best bed and bedstead.
To Alst Harry, daughter of Harry David, £6 13 4d which is in the hands of the said Harry David.
' Whereas my son William owes me £20 I bequeath to son in law Harry David the unpaid £20 with the increase thereof.'
To Harry Powell, son in law, £11 that he already has.
To Alst Harry, one cow
To Harry Powell the second brass pan which he already has.
Son Howell to be residual legatee.

Executor: son, Howell, with Harry Powell and Harry David overseers.

Witnesses: Yowan Griffiths, Harry Powell, Thomas Jon Rees, Katherine Thomas Jasper Powell with others.
