1355 Inq. taken 27th September 29 Edward III at Hereford Castle upon the death of John Danseye.

Turneston and Cheyneston. A messuage and 2 carucates of land. 40s yearly rent from free tenants held of Thomas Chandos as of the barony of Snodhill by knight’s service. His heir is his brother John Danseye.

Cheyneston: 20 acres of land held of John Ragon by knight’s service.

Danseye also held the manor of Dulton in Wiltshire which was inherited by his brother William Danseye.

 

1370 IPM taken 12th January 43 Edward III at Hereford upon the death of Walter Danseye on the 27th December 1369. Turneston and Cheyneston. A messuage and 2 carucates of land held of Thomas Chandos, lord of Snodhill. 40s from his tenants there.

Cheyneston: 20 acres of land held of John Ragon.

Danseye also held the manor of Dulton in Wiltshire – his heirs are his sister Margaret 24 wife of Ralph de Norton and John Seintmanyfuy 12 son of his other sister Joan Seintmanyfuy.
