This leaflet describes the Herefordshire Stone Tile Project, aimed at promoting awareness of stone tiling traditional to the area as an environmentally friendly roofing material, encouraging the rediscovery of the Delves [small quarries] where suitable stone can still be found and restoring the craft skills required for the extraction, preparation and use of stone tiles.

Observations:

Stone tiles have been a traditional roofing material in Ewyas Lacy for centuries past owing to the geology of local sandstone deposits which are relatively easily accessible in the area
