Beneficiaries: To wife,
Elizabeth , the leasehold house and lands where he dwells and which he holds from the Rt Hon Lord of Abergavenny on a three life lease for the term of her life or that of the lease. Also all his goods and chattels 'to her own Disposall to Give to who she will.'
He mentions a debt of £41 owing to John Watkins and one of £30 to Mary Watkins which the testator's son in law, James Watkins is bound for after the death of the testator's wife when the son in law is to take immediate possession of the house and lands and let it to the best advantage until the debt and all interest is paid. After that the property is to go to son, John Anthony , or John Anthony can have it 'as soon as he will' if he pays the debt instead.

To daughter, Jane Watkins, £5 to heep for her son David Watkins.

Observations:

A document of administration details the steps to be taken by the local clergyman dealing with the probate. In this case it was John Rogers, curate of Clodock. He administered the oath to the executrix 'at her dwelling house'. This was an additional task often performed by local clergy. 6 documents in all.
