To the Cathedral church of St Davids , 6d.
To her three children, sons Thomas William Phillip and Watkin William Phillip and daughter, Elinor, all the corn and grain now growing to be divided equally between them.
To Elinor, one coverlet, one coffer 'that containeth sixe or seven bushells', one standing bedstead, a table cloth and 2 flaxen sheets.
To Watkin William... [a fold in the original has made this bequest undecipherable on the photocopy].
 
Executor: son, Thomas William Phillipp.

Marked by testator.

Witnesses: John Thomas senior, Elinor William Phillipp, Thomas Watkins, Catherine Watkins.

2. Inventory:   dated 3 October 1640 ; valued at £6   14   10d [but comes to £6  10  4d].   Appraisers; John Thomas, Thomas Watkins & Watkin William Phillipp.  

 

Observations:

The documents include a bond dated 15 October 1640 with bounden Thomas William Phillipp of Craswall, yeoman and Watkin David of the same place in a surety of £20.
Her short inventory is reproduced below with modern spelling.
