the mark of James Symonds
1 Bucking Tub- a tub for ?ǣbucking??? which was the steeping of clothes in lye to cleanse them when soap was rare and expensive. After steeping the clothes were beaten with wooden paddles.
2 Pickle ??? pitch fork
3 Beetle ??? a heavy wooden mallet often used for erecting fence posts.
4 mow ??? a rick or sack.
