1 Sliding car ??? a cart without wheels which was dragged on runners like a sledge.
2 Kinderkin/Kilderkin ??? a cask to hold 18 gals of beer or 16 gals of ale in accordance with a statute of 1531/2.
3 Cowl ??? a large tub for water with two ?ǣears??? through which a cowl staff could be passed for carrying by two men. Often associated with cheese making and brewing.
4 a peck ??? a dry good measure, 2 gallons or a quarter of a bushel.
5 Bouk ??? a wooden pail with an upright handle
6 Piggin ??? a small wooden milk pail with one stave longer than the rest to act as a handle.
