Description:

This is a detailed report of excavations by Archenfield Archaeology Limited at Greyhound Farm. A site plan shows the layout and describes the archaeological and historical background to the property and its environs, including the results of excavations. Photographs and diagrams of the property and the excavations are included.

The wider history and archaeology of Longtown and environs is also addressed, covering the period from Saxon times to the present. Reference is made to a number of historic sites including Clodock Church, Llanthony Priory, Pont Hendre, Longtown Castle and Craswall Priory.
