At a Court Baron of the Manor of Ewyas Lacy held at the Castle of Longtown on the 29th September 1790 before Robert Morgan Kinsey Steward of the Manor of Ewyas Lacy held by The Right Honorable Henry Earl of Abergavenny.

Copy granted 29 Sept 1790 to John Brewster, of Burton Court, Co. Hereford Esq. of:
a piece of arable land called The Birches containing about three and a half acres,
also piece of rough pasture and woodland divided into 3 pieces containing about six and three quarter acres also known as The Birches,
also that piece of pasture land called Wern Kelin containing about three and a half acres,
also that piece of pasture land called Cae Carren containing about four acres,
also that piece of pasture land called Lower Wern Kelin containing about two and a quarter acres,
altogether totalling about 20 acres all in the parish of Michaelchurch Escley.

for the lives of:
Simon Exton, son of Simon Exton of Peterchurch, Surgeon, aged 10,
William Piper, son of William Piper of Hereford, Ironmonger, aged 5,
Robert Piper another son aged 3.

On the 15th October 1713 the holding was described as comprising fifteen and a half acres Welsh measure and admitted to John Watkins, Tobacconist, of the City of London as heir on the death of his Uncle John Watkins.
John Watkins, Tobacconist, surrendered the hereditament and it was granted to Thomas Delahay and Thomas Bullock for the lives of Robert Ravenhill, John Ravenhill and Timothy Ravenhill, all since dead.
