Description:

Letter re lease for lives (originally with D.1583.3.35,36), no date.

Addressed to Mr Kinsey and headed as a ‘Description of premises intended to be leased to Mr Edmond Lewis’.  Consisting of 1 close of meadow and 2 small covers (boundaries given) by Newton. ‘NB: there has been a cottage formerly which has been pulled down and the materials taken to make additional buildings on other leasehold lands by the late John Lewis many years ago’.

In another hand - ‘Thomas Edwards is the only surviving life’.  A lease of the premises made to Edmond Lewis for the lives of Sarah his wife aged 32, Sarah, her daughter by her first husband, aged 11 years, and Ann Lewis, daughter of Edmond Lewis, aged 3.  17 Dec 1793 - E Lewis paid Mr Kinsey £12/1/6.
