Description:

Transfer of mortgage and further charge between James Griffiths of St Margarets, Thomas Realey of Michaelchurch Escley and Miss Ann Andrews of Cwm in the parish of Dorstone. James Griffiths made arrangements with Thomas Realey, miller at Michaelchurch Mill, to repay the outstanding £240 loan by borrowing £280 at 5% pa from a Miss Ann Andrews of Dorstone (£240 to be paid to Thomas Realey, and £40 retained for James Griffiths’ own use, all secured as a mortgage on the property as before). The arrangement was formalised by Indenture on 6th July 1881.
