Description:

1 May 1335. Licence for Bartholomew de Burgherssh and Elizabeth his wife to enfeoff Henry de Burgherssh, bishop of Lincoln, and William de Scothou, clark, of the castle of Ewyas Lacy, the manor of Walterston [Walterstone], and sixteen messuages, 300 acres of land, 16 acres of meadow and £11.6s.4¼ of rent, in Bukenhale and Fenton, as well as of the advowsons of the priories of Lanthony Prima and Cressewell [Craswall], all held in chief as it is said, and for them to re-grant the castle, manor and advowsons to Bartholomew and Elizabeth in fee tail, with remainder to the right heirs of Elizabeth, and the messuages, lands and rent to them for life, with remainders to Thomas their son in fee tail, and to the right heirs of Elizabeth.
