Description:

Indenture dated 31st December 1909 between Anne Davies of Chapel House Erwood in the County of Brecon, widow, and James Straker of Abergavenny, Esquire. This refers to an indenture of 8th May 1890 conveying the property from William Davies to Thomas Davies subject to redemption by William Davies on payment of £500 with interest, and to the fact that Thomas Davies died intestate on 23RD December 1892. Letters of Administration were granted to Anne Davies on 30th January 1893 in the District Probate Registry at Hereford, and she agreed to sell the property to James Straker for £535. The property comprised Clodock Mill otherwise Lower Mill and four acres, two roods and thirty perches of land adjoining, all in the township of Longtown in the parish of Clodock, and numbered 822 and 823 on the tithe map for the parish, and until lately in the occupation of William Davies
